Me

Hello, my name is Robert. I’m a 26 year old guy living in the utopia known as Charleston, WV. One wouldn’t think of WV as a place with individuals willing to explore the more experimental and abrasive sides of music. Those people would be correct. In fact, I’m probably the only person in the state who blogs about this kind of stuff on a fairly regular basis. So that’s something.

I’m a staff contributor on the Foxy Digitalis web zine, the best experimental music resource on the net. You can see my most recent contributions here.

I’m in the process of establishing two more blogs to sate my thirst for writing about my overwhelming amount of interests. Dragging the Ocean is basically my brain dump for all thoughts related to my experiences with gaming, film, and a broader scope of music than what is specifically covered here. Thirty-Five Film is my project designed to indulge my ever-growing love of cinema and film criticism, and a place to fine-tune my critical writing in the film arena. So put those in your RSS reader or bookmark them, please.

Oh, I also have a dog. His name is Ziggy. He’s named after the Bowie album– not the comic character. That would be stupid. I also have a cat. Her name is Nico. She’s named after Nico– the one that did lots of heroin with Andy Warhol.
